She cant do that. She cant take a sick day if she is not sick.

janet went back, instead to keep been nice but no. she need to take care of her mom and sick son.

I’m not paying her to have nice traits. But guess what, i am paying her to do consistently good work. Is she ?? Doing consistently good work ?? She is not.

they need janet for what if she dont do a good work, just been rude.

Every morning, a new goat, just killed, sits in our big slot.

it looks like in the place where they at is not clean and not a healthy place for them to work.

I have to admit i am not feeling my best.

this important because someone is not in their best. so they dont see the differents between good and bad.

Next morning in the big slot is a goat and in the little slot a rabbit and a note addressed to distribution

This shows that now they have more work to doo. Not only working with death goats but also with rabbits.

” Don’t you even come into my work place and start swearing “

janet start to curse when he was not suppose to the cave men becuase his swearing.

Hey sorry about yesterday

janet start to change and be a human no and animal. also treatin other with respect they way they supppose to be treat.

” I didnt steal nothing Ma “

Bradly stealing money to get drugs and sell but thats no good cause he could go to prison and also kill him self.

“Bastard” she says, and hits me with the flint.

This line is important because it shows that Janet is not a good partner  to work. She used to hit and mistreat the narrator not good .

janet is now doing better and im now telling the truth. so things are as they should be.

meaning janet is now a new person that everyone could trust and believe.

i know you wish you had a perfect son.

this is important because she dont have a perfect son, so now she needs to deal with it and be strong .

i will be tired in the morning and might then do a poor job.

meaning if she tired people would not doa good job. she need to be strong so everything would be good.

Homework 3/18/10

dolanbihs:

  1. What is the name of your story?
  2. What outcome did your group pick for this week?
  3. In one at least two paragraphs, explain how the outcome is related to your story.

Explain how the concepts in your outcome from this week are related to your story. Do this in at least two paragraphs. Don’t forget to say what story you are reading and what outcome you are working with.

The story that my group is  reading is called Pastoralia. This story is fiction in it we have two character  the cave woman and the caveman. They both have a job which is  which t leaving  inside a cave in a museum. But their is a problem which is that  Janet and the cave man both go through very difficult moments of standing each other and they cant stop fighting and there was a moment when Janet started to behave good and then bad again so she mess it up. She started to insult the father of a kid who was there in the museum The cave man finally  filled out the evaluation form. it was there when he field out the evaluation and he tell the truth about her.

The outcome that relate to this story is outcome 018.0910, because the story reflects moral dilemma. The  moral dilemma of the story is that Northon needed to make a hard decision. One was either to fire Janet and for him to keep the job and still make money to help his sick son or either for him to loose his job and not be able t help pay for his son’s medication and take him to the doctor. However, Janet also needed the job because she had a son that was now in jail. She needed to keep the job in order to help her son and her mother who was an old lady. However, He was suppose to make a decision that will either hurt him or either Janet. The part that shows that this story reflects altruism is when the cave man decides to tell the truth in the evaluation and tell Northon that Janet all along was behaving bad and that she even got into a discussion with a family that came to the museum and see how people back them use to leave in caves. The cave man couldn’t handle no more the way she was acting and all the annoying things that she was doing.

1.What is the name of your story?

The name os the story is pastoralia is about a cave women and a cave men that were put together to learn to get along and to work together to survive. They need to test each other at the end.

2. What outcome did your group pick for this week? My group this week did the outcome 18.

3.In one at least two paragraphs, explain how the outcome is related to your story.

In our group we pick Outcome 18 because is related to our story which includes altruism. My story shows moral dilemma because the cave man need to make a decision one protect Janet or protect his job. he lie in the evaluation that he need to fill for Janet.  In the same way it shows egoism because Janet only care about herself, she didnt care about cave man life and the things he did. She wasn’t taking her job seriously since Janet spoke English when she couldn’t speak at all.

Homework 03/04/1

Is Wal-Mart good for America? Who in the film would say yes? Who in the film would say no? Why/ Why not?

Wal- Mart is not good for America Society. First-able, that the company is from the USA they buy goods from Chinese due to in USA people sale them too expensive so they prefer others country more chippers than united stated. Also because the Wal-Mart company is too big and powerful so it affect small business. thats why NYC have no wal-mart because the government is no agree with it. Finally, the people in the film that would say yes is because they think that wal-mart sale the same goods that others company more chipper so of-course they would say yes but in the other hand, those who say know are most likely business-owners because if affecting their business too, in many different aspect so based on it they are not agree with it  .

3/1/10 lettler

Dear Mr. Dolan last week’s outcome was: Student applies sociological imagination to their own lives and to the lives of others. Sociological imagination is when a there is personal troubles and public issues. To apply this to my own life i need to think what happen since i born. i prove this to other lives cause i did a flash fiction in witch talk about personal trouble and the public issue. i feel good about the work i had done so far, i trying to focus on the main idea of the outcome and do the right steps to be successful. And how one personal trouble can affect society as a whole.

Homework 2/24/2010

Part 1:

Post your classwork from today on the blog.

Personal Trouble

The kid in the picture is on the floor looking starving because it looks like he haven’t ate in days because how his body looks like and also it looks like is an poor environment cause there nothing just birds. This kid is suffering a lot because he hasn’t eaten, don’t have clothes on, no shoes basically nothing.

Connection

The connection between them is that personal problem can affect public issue because it can tell other what it happening and people see it but don’t do anything about it.

Public Issue

This picture can affect other because other countries will think that all the kids from there are in the same situation. There are kids everywhere dying from food, no place to live, no clothes and many reasons but some people don’t care and just don’t do anything about it.

Part 2:Write a flash-fiction story about your picture from today. Include ideas from the work you did today. Show the connections that you made. Remember that flash-fiction stories have conflicts, rising action, climaxes and resolutions like any other story.

Many year ago a liltter kid name tuverculo was in a place name guachupita were there was nothing but nothing just air and he was all alone with out nobody, his family die of hunger and he was in the same way. He lost his family and he was all alone in this dark and cold world. The kid cry and cry and all he say is that he want to give up cause there were nothing he can do to fix his life. A day the kid was in the empty place where there just was a black bird and he was facing down like he was just born but he say to his sefl i can give up i need to make justice for my family, me and all the kid in the same situation. A day this kid decide to go to talk with the people that have the money and the power ( rich people ) he go but he fell, he didnt refuse to give up and went again and he fight for his right and anything that he should get. This kid influence alot of kids that were alone with out nothing, he influence them to fight for their rights.

Part3:Write a reflection about your story that explains how your story shows sociological imagination. [Sociological imagination is the the connection between 1) personal troubles and public issues, 2) personal behavior and social interaction, 3) biography and history, 4) individuals and wider society, as well as other overlaps between the private and public life.]

My story shows sociological imagination, because the boy in the picture is the same boy as the storyjust that in my story the boy fight for his right and for what his family didnt get. This situation is bad cause there no reason why kids should die because of hunger because food is something that should be give, but other peole dont see it like that people with money dont care about nothing jsut about them self and its bad for the community and the world cause if you only care about you what happen to other they would die just because you didnt give them a hand to help them.

Part 4:

Finish your timeline and email it to Dolan at dolanbihs@gmail.com

Bill Fitch was too old to relate to the New Jersey Nets last year. It was that he was from another era, of one-year contracts and no free agency, when coaches talked and players trembled. By that time, the best N.B.A. coaches were a combination of psychologist and salesman, men who recognized that their players had been  across America’s television  from the time they were 18 years old. They are the Nets’ cornerstone players who must do more than assist, rebound and score.

The addition of those bowl stakes to the fourth meeting between the Eagles and Notre Dame, the first in a 13-year series, has created an emotional month. It a big game because it’s November. The thing about this time of year is every game is a big game because of the consequences involved.
